Lacoste in the distance seen from Bonnieux |
We went to Lacoste this morning. Pete went inside the chateau for the first time to see some of the rooms in the apartment Pierre Cardin had built there while we wandered around the village. It is more upmarket than when we first visited 27 years
ago. Pierre Cardin’s enterprise did some of the gentrification and this
has been followed by the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) who
now maintain a European campus in buildings throughout the village.
There’s lots of art and sculpture and more shops and exhibitions.

SCAD Lacoste is currently hosting the designs of French fashion designer Julien Fournié.
We then went to Goult for a wander and lunch.
